Real estate developer, Tom Chapman and business partners have built a home, Casa Barranca on private land that he owns within Gunnison National Park.  The home and property is currently for sale, with a price tag in the $12 million dollar range.  Wyoming is also currently dealing with this issue as they look to settle a dispute with the federal government over compensation for several hundred acres within Grand Tetons National Park and has threatened to sell that off to a developer if the feds don't help them get good value for the property.
